An Absence of Silence
bass clarinet, cello, piano, percussion Duration: 6' Katherine Bergman Music © 2023 An Absence of Silence takes its name from my cardiologist's description of my heart murmur, referring to the whooshing sound between heartbeats. The title can take on another meaning in reference to modern life, typified by a constant barrage of news, information, commitments, and connectivity that leads to a feeling that "there's always something" keeping you from enjoying a quiet moment.
