Over Wild Solitude
wind ensemble Duration: 7' Grade 4 Katherine Bergman Music © 2018 Over Wild Solitude is inspired by the serenity and wonder of the wilderness experience at Isle Royale National Park. The largest island in the largest lake in the world, Isle Royale is home to a collection of flora and fauna not found on the mainland. This rugged, isolated island, far from the sights and sounds of civilization, provides unparalleled solitude and stunning scenic beauty. Following a hike from Lane Cove to Mount Franklin, the music begins on the shore of Lake Superior and traverses uphill through varied microhabitats of forests and wetlands to the Greenstone Ridge, overlooking the island greenery and sprawling lakeshore.
